'Rambo' released on iTunes and CD

On January 22nd, Lionsgate Records will release Brian's score for Sylvester Stallone's Rambo for download from the iTunes music store. A CD release is set to follow on February 5th (pre-order now). Preview the entire soundtrack album at music.lionsgate.com/rambo/.

'Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem' soundtrack release

Brian's score for Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem will be released by Varese Sarabande on December 11, 2007 (order the CD at Amazon.com). The film opens on December 26th. Check out audio samples and photos from the AVPR recording sessions. Up next from Brian is Rambo IV, which hits theatres on January 25th. Brian's score for Justin Lin's Finishing The Game is now available to download on iTunes.

'War' complete score released on iTunes

Brian's score for the Jet Li/Jason Statham action picture War has been released by Lionsgate Records in two versions: on CD with four songs from the film and fifty-five minutes of score or digitally on iTunes where the complete score is available for download (over seventy minutes of score). 'John Rambo', and ASCAP Expo...

Brian is confirmed for John Rambo, the fourth film in the Rambo series. Sylvester Stallone stars and directs the film, which is set for release date in May, 2008.

On Saturday, April 21st, Brian, alongside fellow film composers Marco Beltrami and Patrick Doyle, will speak at the 2007 ASCAP "I Create Music" Expo. More info...

Brian to conduct the London Symphony Orchestra for 'War'

Brian will conduct the London Symphony Orchestra next week when he records his score for War (formerly known as Rogue). The film, starrin Jet Li and Jason Statham, will hit theatres in September.

'Partition' soundtrack CD details

Varese Sarabande will release Brian's score for Partition on January 30, 2007 (with a running time of 78:17). Of Brian's score, Partition director Vic Sarin writes:

"If a picture can tell a thousand words, one music note can evoke a thousand emotions. What struck me when I first heard the music that Brian Tyler had composed for Partition was how beautifully it captured and embodied the emotion of the movie. Partition will be released to theatres in Canada on February 2, 2007.

Brian to score 'Alien vs Predator: Survival of the Fittest', 'Time to Kill', 'Rogue', and 'Finishing the Game'

Brian has four projects lined up for 2007 -- Time to Kill starring Nicholas Cage as a hitman in Thailand, directed by brothers Danny and Oxide Pang (The Eye), Aliens vs Predator - Requiem for 20th Century Fox, directed by 'The Brothers Strause' (Colin and Greg Strause) set for a Christmas 2007 release, Rogue starring Jason Statham and Jet Li as bitter rivals in a mysterious action thriller directed by Philip G. Atwell and a third collaboration with director Justin Lin for his mockumentary comedy Finishing the Game about Bruce Lee's unfinished film.

Brian joins Composer Expo

Brian will be speaking at the Composer's Expo on August 4th, 4-5:30pm in the Academy room at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. He will be part of a specially selected group of top film composers including Hans Zimmer, Brian Tyler, David Newman and Mark Isham who will discuss the state of the art of the film and television composing industry and how composers can succeed in today's challenging environment. Cannes catches 'Bug'

William Friedkin's Bug won the FIPRESCI or international critics award for the Director's Fortnight at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. The film, scored by Brian, stars Ashley Judd and Harry Connick Jr. and is set for release in December.

Varese to release 'TF&TF: Tokyo Drift' July 20th

Varese Sarabande announced they will release Brian's score for The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift on July 20th. Varese says:

"...The propulsive score for The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift was composed by Brian Tyler. It packs an explosive and exhilarating energy which allows the composer to also show off his virtuosity with both the guitar and percussion. Recording 'TF&TF: Tokyo Drift'

'Big Empty' from La-La Land records May 4th

La-La Land Records is set to release Brian's score for The Big Empty on May 4th. Limited to 1500 copies, folks pre-ordering the CD through La-La Land will have their copies autographed by Brian (for a limited time).

New project updates: 'Partition' and 'Tokyo Drift'

Brian is currently scoring Partition for director Vic Sarin. Set in 1940s Pakistan, Partition tells the story of an ex-soldier's complicated relationship with a young woman amidst the political upheavel of the time. Next he'll record his score for The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift in May. The film, directed by Justin Lin, who previously collaborated with Brian on Annapolis, is due in theatres on June 16th, 2006.
