RAMBO

Rambo is a 2008 action/war film starring Sylvester Stallone returning and reprising his famous role as legendary war veteran John Rambo. In the latest installment, twenty years have passed since the last Rambo film and Rambo is hired by a church pastor to help rescue a group of missionaries who were kidnapped by a brutal Burmese military regime. Sylvester Stallone also writes and directs; co-stars Julie Benz and Matthew Marsden.

Stallone wanted Tyler to incorporate Jerry Goldsmith’s original themes into the movie; Tyler didn’t rely on Goldsmith’s work but used it enough to tie it to the other films. He also based his own theme and orchestrations on the style of the original.
